ECG's: the basics of interpretation.

From the ground up

Welcome.

Does the thought of an having to interpret a patient's ECG cause a sense of impending doom?

Does looking at those squiggly lines make you sweat?

Does trying to make sense of the different component parts give you palpitations?

It might mean that you're having a heart attack. Alternatively, and more likely, it means you need a bit of guidance on how to approach this field of  ̷m̷a̷g̷i̷c̷ medicine.

The reality of ECG's is that the level of understanding and experience varies between individuals.

We come from a variety of backgrounds and specialisms.

We will therefore approach from the idea that the candidate  ̶i̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶s̶u̶r̶g̶e̶o̶n̶  knows nothing.

This part of my website is envisioned to kill two birds with one stone:

1) How to ensure that those who attended my lecture series started with the required knowledge, and

2) How they could attain that knowledge without internally screaming because it came from yours truly.

Each concept is made into a self-contained module.

This is how my brain works, and how i would explain it to people. As a result, you are going to be exposed to my thought processes which is understandably a poor choice of one's willing free time.

Therefore, this resource is open to yourself to refer back to and proceed at your own pace, so take whatever time/breaks you require.
