Built by a doctor who lived it — the anxiety, the grind, the moments where surviving felt like an achievement. Now we help you do more than survive.
I'm Dr. Alex Ip — an A&E ST5 training in Emergency Medicine. I've sat through the same high-stakes ECG stations, the same interview panels, the same 4am resus moments where imposter syndrome hits hardest.
I built Surviving to Thriving because I wished it had existed when I was an FY2 convinced I wasn't good enough for ACCS. It didn't. So I made it.
Every course, resource, and tool on this platform is built from real clinical experience — what actually helps you win, not just what sounds good in a textbook.
My focus areas: ECG interpretation, ACCS-EM application coaching, interview preparation, and building the resilience framework that gets you from surviving your rota to actually thriving in your career.
STT is a movement. We're closing the gap between medical school and becoming a genuinely excellent emergency physician — technically, emotionally, and professionally.
Emergency Medicine is one of the most demanding specialties to enter. The ACCS pathway is competitive, the interviews are gruelling, and the imposter syndrome is real — even for the best candidates.
Most resources are fragmented. YouTube videos, random WhatsApp groups, expensive revision courses that feel disconnected from actual EM training. Nobody had built the single coherent hub that ACCS applicants actually needed.
